Scope

This document applies to garments and assembly of garments providing protection against heat and flame, with integrated smart textiles and non-textile elements for enhanced health, safety and survival capabilities. This document does not concern validating claims that the integrated smart textiles and non-textile elements substitute directly any protection provided by the garment from a heat and flame perspective.
